El Quisco beaches: which ones there are and which are safe for swimming
The municipality has about ten beaches between Los Clarines, on the border with Algarrobo, and Las Ágatas, in Isla Negra, towards El Tabo. In the 2025-2026 season the Chilean Navy cleared only two for swimming: Los Corsarios and Punta de Tralca, according to the national list published by Emol on 26 December 2025. Cleared means the beach has lifeguards and passed the maritime authority's safety inspection; at the others you swim at your own risk.

A warning before going in: in February 2026 swimming was banned at Los Corsarios and Punta de Tralca because of Portuguese man o' war, a jellyfish-like species whose sting is very painful, according to G5 Noticias. The authorities advise not to touch them even if they look dead and to respect the beach flags. Punta de Tralca also has strong surf.

Things to do in El Quisco besides the beach
- The fishing cove and the pier, at the end of Los Corsarios. It is a long-standing cove devoted mainly to Chilean abalone (loco) and sea urchins, with a monument topped by Saint Peter, patron of fishermen, bearing the names of fishermen lost at sea.
- Isla Negra, the municipality's most famous village. Pablo Neruda's house museum, Playa del Poeta and the poet's grave facing the sea are a few minutes away; tickets and opening hours in our Isla Negra guide.
- The stone houses built in the first half of the 20th century, such as Casa Gondeck and Casa Dubournais, which recall the resort's early years.
- The Yacht Club, founded in 1949, and water sports in the bay.
- Quebrada de Córdova, a declared Nature Sanctuary, and the Eladio Sobrino private conservation area, the municipality's protected areas.
