Why the VYVA fair matters for tourism

The fair comes in a year with fewer foreign tourists, due to the decline of the Argentine market, as shown by August 2026 arrivals. Undersecretary Lagos said the sector generates about 673,000 jobs, 5.7% more than a year earlier, and that the challenge is to “keep growing, reduce seasonality and generate more job opportunities”.

Sernatur director Cristóbal Benítez said the goal is for VYVA to be “not just a showcase, but also a platform” connecting regional companies with buyers. Javiera Sotoluque, general manager of Interexpo, called it “the meeting point that the national tourism industry needs”.

Tips to make the most of the fair

  • Bring tentative dates: VYVA Sale deals usually have limited spots and dates.
  • Compare before paying: check the price of the same package on the operator's website; our guide on how much it costs to travel in Chile is a useful reference.
  • Ask about change policies: dates, refunds and what the package includes.
  • Check the official site: opening hours and ticket price are published at expovyva.cl.
