The first group in Valle Las Trancas
The Las Trancas trip lasts three days and two nights in the Ñuble mountains, with hot spring pools and outings in the area. “We are very happy to welcome the first Turismo Mujer group to Valle Las Trancas,” said Fabiola Gutiérrez, Sernatur's regional director in Ñuble. Ñuble's regional economy secretary, Manuel Cofré, said that “each delegation that arrives in Valle Las Trancas activates our restaurants”.
The valley lies at the foot of the Nevados de Chillán volcanic complex, which remains on yellow technical alert according to Sernageomin, as we explain in this story. To explore the area on your own, see our guide to Nevados de Chillán, skiing and hot springs and things to do in Chillán.

Why the program exists
Turismo Mujer is part of Sernatur's social tourism programs and aims to bring visitors to destinations in the low season, when hotels, restaurants and guides have less work. Tourism Undersecretary María Paz Lagos said the program “reflects a global trend: women are leading the way people travel”. For 2027, Sernatur plans to open new spots and add destinations.
