Which Australis cruise route to choose
- If your trip ends in Argentina, Punta Arenas to Ushuaia drops you in Tierra del Fuego on day five at 08:30.
- If you are continuing through Chile, Ushuaia to Punta Arenas ends with Magdalena Island (Marta Island in September and April) and docks in Punta Arenas at 12:30, leaving time to go on to Puerto Natales and Torres del Paine.
- If you want the full experience, Darwin's Route joins both crossings: two Cape Horn landing attempts and more glaciers.
- Landings: all depend on the weather, including Cape Horn's.

What about Navimag or Skorpios?
They are the other two most-searched shipping lines in Chile, but they sell direct and are not on the platforms we compare, so we do not list them as booking options. Navimag runs the ferry between Puerto Montt and Puerto Natales through the Patagonian channels, and Skorpios runs glacier cruises from Puerto Montt and from its terminal in Puerto Natales (read about the Puerto Natales cruise season). Check prices and departures on their official sites.
