Antillanca: the family-friendly ski resort in the Los Lagos region

Antillanca, in the Los Lagos region, is one of Chile's southernmost ski resorts and has a reputation as the most family-friendly, with gentle slopes and a more relaxed vibe than the central-zone resorts.

Surrounded by volcanoes and lakes

The resort sits within Puyehue National Park, surrounded by volcanoes -including Casablanca Volcano itself, where the slopes are located- and very close to the chain of lakes that defines southern Chile, a landscape that blends snow with dense native forest.

How to get there

Antillanca is just over an hour from Osorno, the nearest city with an airport, making it reasonably accessible for anyone touring the southern lakes region (Puerto Varas, Puerto Montt) who wants to add a snow day to the itinerary without too big a detour.

Being farther south, Antillanca's snow season can vary more from year to year than at central-zone resorts, so it's worth checking slope conditions before traveling specifically to ski.
